I strongly recommend the natural, tri-zonal filtration method for outstanding results. I use this system on my home aquarium as well. Rather than using a protein skimmer, I employ the use of a remote Deep Sand Bed (DSB) and a remote refugium on a Reverse Daylight Photosynthesis (RDP) cycle. This method allows for natural food sources, natural water filtration, and pH stability.
I can promise water quality in 6 months that will grow Small Polyped Stony (SPS) corals using this method.
I encourage the use of LED lighting and other low power consumption devices.
I use captive bred fish, corals, live rock, and invertebrates whenever possible by supporting local aquaculture.
I use only the freshest, uncured aquacultured rock to establish the backbone of your reef.
I have maintained aquariums ranging in size from 30 gallons to 450 gallons. Many of my aquariums had sexual reproduction of corals, fish, and even jellyfish. I also make, trade, and sell local propagated corals.
I am licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and am also fully insured.
